| June 21 Saturday Solstice Raft Up in Port Madison at the North end of Bainbrige Island Pot luck, visiting, sailing lies, show and tell and the longest day of the year. July 3 Thursday FireWorks in Poulsbo——- Like it used to be on Lake Union. Raft up for the fireworks and shoot off your out of date flares. Last year we were anchored just North of the fireworks barge and were among the closest boats to the barge! Talk about the Big Bang Theory! There is easy pickup of guests at either the Port of Poulsbo Public Marina in downtown Poulsbo or at the Oyster Plant Park just south of downtown on Fjord Drive. Parking is hard so you should be on a multihull. July 4,5,6 Our Classic 4th of July Weekend Rendezvous at Blake Island. Anchor out or if you’re lucky get a mooring ball at the NorthWest corner of the island. Anchorage is good sand inshore of the bouys. Hiking, camping and you can get there by water taxi if need be, August 1-3 Cow Bay Regatta Cowichan Bay on Vancouver Island: http://cowbay-regatta.ca/2014/index.htm This is the biggest Multihull Gathering in the Northwest. Even if you don’t race, come to see the show. It is also the starting place for cruises North through the Gulf Islands and Desolation Sound and Johnstone Strait and the Broughtons. The other proposed dates are a Rendezvous in Eagle Harbor in early September and a trip to Tacoma to Multihulls NorthWest and the Foss Waterway. |
